Overview

The college library is a central academic resource supporting learning, research, and career preparation. It provides students and faculty access to a wide range of learning materials in both physical and digital formats.

  • Over 2,000+ books covering hospitality, food science, tourism, business management, and communication skills.
  • National and international journals, periodicals, and magazines for reference and research.
  • Access to digital resources, e-journals, and online databases related to the hospitality industry.

Students are encouraged to make full use of the library to enhance their academic and professional knowledge.

Functions of Library Committee:
  • Collection Development: Acquiring books, journals, magazines, and digital resources relevant to hospitality and allied subjects.
  • Information Dissemination: Sharing updates via notice boards, newsletters, and online alerts for new arrivals.
  • Reference and Research Support: Assisting students and faculty with finding and using academic resources effectively.
  • Circulation Services: Lending books, managing return schedules, and handling overdue items.
  • Digital Access: Offering e-books, databases, and online journals to enhance learning flexibility.
  • Orientation and User Education: Conducting library tours and training sessions to help users navigate resources.
  • Maintenance of Records: Keeping systematic logs of books, users, circulation, and usage analytics.
Library Rules
General Rules
  • Students must carry their valid identity card to access the library facilities.
  • Maintain silence at all times within the library premises.
  • Conversations or group discussions are not permitted.
  • Prior registration is required to use any library services.
  • Personal bags or belongings are not allowed inside the library.
  • Books issued or reference materials cannot be taken inside the library area.
  • Mobile phones and audio devices are strictly banned inside the library.
  • Every user must register their entry at the entrance counter.
  • All materials taken out must be shown to the library staff.
  • The librarian may call back any issued material at any time.
  • Library cards are non-transferable and users are accountable for items borrowed.
  • Food and beverages are not allowed inside the library.
Admission to Library

Only students with valid identity cards of ICE College of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Pune are allowed to enter the library.

Library Working Hours

The library is operational daily from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM.

Circulation & Book Issuing System

Books are issued on showing both library and identity cards. Students must check for any damages before borrowing. They are liable for damages noted at the time of return.

Late Return Penalty

Books are issued for one week. Late returns incur a charge of Rs. 5/day per book for the first 15 days, and Rs. 10/day thereafter. During exams, Rs. 10/day applies from the first day.

Loss of Books

Lost books must be replaced with the same or latest edition, or the cost reimbursed at twice the book’s price upon librarian’s approval.

Library Cards Care

Borrowers must keep cards safe. Do not fold or tamper. Responsibility lies with the cardholder.

Lost Cards

Lost cards must be reported. A duplicate will be issued with a formal request and applicable fee.

Card Validity

Cards remain valid for the course duration and must be returned upon course completion along with any pending dues.

No Dues Certificate

Issued after all borrowed items are returned, cards surrendered, and dues cleared.

Care of Library Material

Books must not be written on or damaged. Any such issues must be reported before borrowing to avoid accountability.

Reference Section

Includes encyclopedias, dictionaries, and textbooks for in-library use only.

Journal Section

Houses journals, magazines, and newsletters, arranged alphabetically. Current issues are on display; older ones are in drawers. Bound journals are for reference within the library.
